The WG Eurocode & specifications organises on regular basis CEN/TC 250/WG 5 meetings. They are currently working on the Execution rules. 

Two main topics will be discussed in this WG meeting:

- PFAS BAN: show and comment the review of the ECHA dossier: 

- EPD: concentrate on the existing Environmental Product Declarations for membrane textiles and foils, and advocating for their inclusion in LCA databases (One Click LCA).

From April 21 to 24, 2026, we will celebrate these special meetings once again, with countless national and international exhibitors showcasing the full spectrum of high-tech textiles across twelve application areas. However, research, development, and scalable implementation thrive best when the entire value chain is present. That's why Texprocess will be held in close proximity at the same time. This is how ideas turn into results.

The twenty-eighth International Workshop on the Design and Practical Realisation of Architectural Membrane Structures will be held on 26th to 28th of April 2026 in Berlin.

Its format will be similar to that of TR 2025, with seminar-style lectures and hands-on activities.

The main objectives of the workshop are to provide fundamental information, as well as presenting the state-of-the-art in textile roof engineering.

IASS Annual Symposium 2026 – 3rd Italian Workshop on Shell and Spatial Structures

The 2026 symposium intent is to encourage participants to imagine how adaptive reuse breathes new life into old structures, turning historical spaces into contemporary marvels, to stimulate discussions about sustainable practices that ensure our designs to be not only structurally efficient and beautiful, but also environmentally responsible. The organizers’ aim at cutting-edge design paradigms that challenge and expand the boundaries of structural and architectural innovation.

SHAPING THE PATHWAY TO FUTURE TENSIONED MEMBRANE DESIGN. The 8th TensiNet Symposium 2026 & 7th Essener Membranbau Symposium 2026 will be hosted by the Institute for Metal and Lightweight Structures, University of Duisburg Essen, campus Essen. Initiators are Natalie Stränghoner and Jörg Uhlemann, supported by their team and the TensiNet Association.

The main topics are 1/ Design, Modelling and simulation of structural membranes; 2/ Materials and executions and 3/ Sustainability and building physics.
