Description
The conoid, a delicate cover protecting the café at the Hip-Notics Cable Ski Park from the elements, has been designed by combining four separate hyperbolic paraboloid textile forms strung above the café’s outdoor area. Open section between the forms increase air circulation and give the construction its delicateness. The structure consists of eight columns, four of which are built-in frame columns and four others joint the tension of the textile elements. Combining functional and aesthetic values, the conoid acts as both a cover and a decorative element for the café.
