Description
‘De Scheg’ in Deventer, opened in 1993, consists of a partly covered 400m ice-skating rink, a leisure pool, a swimming pool for competitions and an instruction bath, sport halls and squash courts. ‘De Scheg’ has the ambition to be a centre for sport, education and culture for Deventer and its surroundings. To fulfil these ambitions the Sports complex De Scheg is transformed into a venue for sports and experience. Witteveen+Bos gave sub-stance to the ambitions, by designing a textile roof to cover the inner court of the ice skating rink as the most visible part of a series of improvements that are being made.
