Description
New roof for the refurbishing of the Maritime Museum, in orther to gain show space at the roof of the existing building.
The supporting structure consisting on six groups of three masts each, connected among them with upper cables.
The whole structure anchoraged to the base of the building through horizontal compressed masts.
The roof membrane hanging from the central masts and anchoraged to the horizontal border ones.
Description of the environmental conditions
The main objective is to obtain new show space for the Maritime Museum at the roof of the existing building, with the adecuate protection from wind, rain and sun.
At the same time, a new outline of the building is obtained with the rememberance of an old harbour landscape (sails and masts).
